What is Paul McIlroy's '12 Week Physique' Body Transformation Programme?

The 12 Week Physique Program is a series of lifestyle interventions designed to bring about the biggest  aesthetic change possible in the shortest possible time period to an individuals body, or at least that's what I had in mind when I was designing it.

I get asked hundreds of questions on a daily basis, and if I had a pound for every time someone has asked me “how did you come up with this?” I could retire early. 

The term “Nothing is new in Bodybuilding” is largely true but not entirely accurate in my opinion.   “Nothing innovated is entirely without influence” would be more accurate. 

I've been educating myself passionately about all things physical since a very early age.  I've been blessed with a naturally fine tuned discerning ability.  In other words I've always been good at separating the useful form the useless.  Because of this I haven't had the misfortune of wasting too much time reading everything out there.  I very quickly singled out the best sources available and absorbed all I could get.  

The program has also been influenced had my innumerable sporting and coaching experiences.  If you read my profile on this website you'll see all that I've experienced (or at least most of it), I won't repeat myself here but to say its been quite extensive and jam packed full of influence would be an understatement. 

I have also had the distinct pleasure of coming into extended contact with some giants of physical culture such as when I trained for a month with 9 time UFC champion Matt Hughes or at the RKC weekend, spending 3 days in the company of the one and only Pavel Tsatsouline, John Du Cane and their team of senior RKC instructors. 

I've also spent a lifetime in education around the subject, earning a degree in sport science and then going on to become a certified strength and conditioning specialist under the NSCA

All these things and more have led to the development of "Paul Mcilroy's 12 Week Physique Program".  So much so that even former graduates of the program have observed how much it has changed over the years.  It's evolving and improving as I do, and I won't stop changing it until I feel its in its best possible form.

I've heard many theories and folklore coming back to me second hand about what way the program is designed and progressed. . . I haven't heard an accurate description yet. 

12 Week Physqiue is a hybrid of ALL my experiences, not any one thing. 

Bruce Lee first started his martial journey in Wing Chun (a form of Kung Fu).  But as he evolved as a human being and became exposed to more martial disciplines he began to think independently (which was frowned upon in traditional martial arts at the time).  He became a martial magpie of sorts, learned the best aspects of each major martial art and discarded what he felt was useless, this, for my money, made Bruce Lee the father of modern Mixed Martial Arts. 

Before long he had a completely new (and some would say better) martial art than any of the others individually, Jet Con Do, and the rest, as they say, is history.

In his own words “take on board what's useful, disregard what's not and add in what's uniquely yours” This line sums up the Tao of the ever evolving 12 Week Physique Program.

That's the body of the program but what of the heart?  The 12 Week Physique Program is about more than merely sets and reps, it changes lives from the outside inwards.  The results produced represent more than the application of science, they are a testiment to the, inspiration, perspiration and dedication that exists in the hearts and minds of those graduates that honour this website with their presence.
